A Niche Show (https://anicheshow.com) is a media platform publishing blog posts, podcasts, video clips, and live streams. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean the team behind A Niche Show.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in two ways:

  • Information you provide — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Information collected automatically — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) generated whenever you access the site.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To send transactional emails (email verification, password reset). We will not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
  • To improve the site and diagnose technical issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Embedded YouTube videos may set their own cookies when you interact with them — those are governed by Google's privacy policy.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Infrastructure providers (Vercel for hosting, Neon for the database) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
  • Law enforcement if required by a valid legal request.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us at hello@anicheshow.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
